Silk Japanese Folding Fan with Mount Fuji, Bamboo Foldable Hand Fan

Why we make it this way

The print is the point of this one. A fan is one of the few practical objects people actually look at while it is being used, so a design that holds up at arm's length is worth more than a plain leaf. The silk takes the ink without the colour going chalky.

Vintage weight and feel, with a wide leaf that moves air properly rather than fluttering. Bamboo ribs, silk fabric, 14.5 inches open and 8.2 closed. It travels well and it makes a straightforward present for somebody who is hard to buy for.
